So… the third and final book to the Inheritance Trilogy is finally out… Whew, I had a busy week and wasn’t able to update the blog as soon as I got hold of the Brisingr e-book. Anyway, I apologize for the unforeseen delay, but do understand that we at Intexblogger are also trying to stay under the radar and avoid all clamors from publishers about our “unauthorized sharing habits”.
Alright, so here it is, our long awaited Brisingr, from the genius himself, Christopher Paolini.
(note: The link Gadget Specialist will help you get the book).
Ebook Title: Brisingr (Inheritance Trilogy, Book 3)
Author: Christopher Paolini
Publisher: Random House Children’s Books
Pub. Date: September 2008
ISBN-13: 9780375826726
Synopsis:
OATHS SWORN . . . loyalties tested . . . forces collide.
Following the colossal battle against the Empire’s warriors on the Burning Plains, Eragon and his dragon, Saphira, have narrowly escaped with their lives. Still there is more at hand for the Rider and his dragon, as Eragon finds himself bound by a tangle of promises he may not be able to keep.
First is Eragon’s oath to his cousin Roran: to help rescue Roran’s beloved, Katrina, from King Galbatorix’s clutches. But Eragon owes his loyalty to others, too. The Varden are in desperate need of his talents and strength—as are the elves and dwarves. When unrest claims the rebels and danger strikes from every corner, Eragon must make choices— choices that take him across the Empire and beyond, choices that may lead to unimagined sacrifice.
Eragon is the greatest hope to rid the land of tyranny. Can this once-simple farm boy unite the rebel forces and defeat the king?

Thanks for the book. I love this site. Just so everyone knows this is not the last book in the series. Apparently Brisingr would have been a huge book, but instead they split it into two books, so it is not a trilogy anymore. That just means we will have another Christopher Paolini book to read in the near future.

My review:
This book was very good. There was a lot of detail and almost all of the things that needed to be answered in the 2nd book were answered in this book. I was a little disappointed in the action part of this book as there was almost nothing compared to the other two books. It is very informational and ties up many loose ends that needed to be tied. It also springs a few questions like Which side will Elva fight for? What about the green dragon egg? etc etc. In all, I would rate this a 3.5/5 and would recommend it to Eragon fans but not to people who just enjoy reading books. For people who just enjoy reading in general, I’d advise you to read Eragon and Eldest and if you don’t like them then do not read this book. If you do like them then you don’t need me to tell you that you should read this book.

just wanted to correct you about paolini’s books. it’s no longer a trilogy. it’s now called the inheritance cycle. there will be at least one more after bringr — maybe more. i guess it depends on how much it makes and how well the plot goes.
thanks for the ebook.

So what did you think of it?
I’ve just finished it, and I wasn’t sure. It was good, and all, but a little boring in some respects.
By the way, you can also get it by going to http://www.scribd.com and typing in ‘brisingr’.

and was hoping to read this one… This site rocks!
October 6th, 2008 at 5:59 pm
Thank you for the possibility to read this book in the language its been written in.
Sadly Paolinis skill to tell a good story seems to break under the pressure of making money. A lot of this volume is redundant, as it neither advances the story line nor gives any further information about the development of characters. Quantity with a lack of quality makes it tedious to read in spots and I would not have spent the time if I weren’t plain curious how he will end the story.
If the author would have sticked with the stricter outline and pacing the first book shows, there would have been absolutely no need to break with the trilogy concept.
But apparently this is the trend at the moment…
October 8th, 2008 at 8:12 am
Thanks a lot guys!
I’ve been looking for Brisingr as well as Artemis Fowl Time Paradox for a long time.
Keep it up….
